Through our TITAN Impact charity initiative, we are proud to announce a one-year sponsorship of Danske Hospitalsklovne, a Danish non-profit organisation dedicated to bringing emotional relief and joy to children during hospital stays.

Spreading smiles through humour and empathy

Danske Hospitalsklovne, or “Danish Hospital Clowns,” enhance the well-being of hospitalised children by creating moments of comfort, joy, and connection during challenging times. Unlike traditional volunteers, their clowns are professionally trained performers who work closely with medical staff to provide a holistic approach to care.

At the heart of their work is the clown method – a therapeutic approach grounded in developmental psychology. This method emphasises presence, improvisation, and empathy, allowing each clown to adapt their interaction based on the child’s emotional state.

Today, the organisation has 69 active hospital clowns, with 14 more in training. Each receives ongoing education and supervision to maintain a high standard of care.

“For many children, the hospital clown is a comforting hand to hold when life at the hospital hurts.” – Danske Hospitalsklovne
