Choose your storage container size based on the volume of your goods. An 8ft fits a small van’s worth of belongings (about 12 cubic metres). A 20ft fits a two-bedroom flat (33 cubic metres). A 40ft fits a three- or four-bedroom house (67 cubic metres). When in doubt, go one size larger — packing is faster with extra space.
